Corto Maltese fan-art

I don’t know if I’ve already posted this. It’s from last spring, but I just found it again and it goes to show how silly artist’s self deprication can be. I clearly remember something about this drawing bothering me. But I can’t tell you what for the life of me, because it’s pretty awesome if you ask me today! My Swedish comics publisher Kolik put out Corto Maltese in Ethiopia and asked me for a fan-art to go onto their blog. Being their inhouse objectifier of men, I did this. Has Corto Maltese ever been this sexy? Hot, muscular and juicy. Ok, now I’m just trying to get search engine hits…

The Boy Friendly BFF

Did this illo for GöteborgsPosten not long ago. For a letter column about this girl’s best friend and how she was stealing all her guy friends. Firstly I tried a graphic approach, but the editors found it a bit too puzzling:

A bit loose and sketchy but this was the idea.

So I came up with another more simple solution on the spot:
